How to Achieve Your Dreams (and Keep Going When It's Hard!)
This is SO important, such great advise from Brendon Burchard. It'll always get hard with whatever you are doing, just keep going, keep learning, keep growing.
What Your Next Step Should Be To Achieve Your Dreams
By T. Harv Eker
A lot of my students come to me with their big dreams. They
come with an idea fully formed, eager to get started, but unsure of where to
begin. That’s the problem with a dream so big: what’s the next step when you
can already picture the end product? Today, I’m going to teach you how to hold
onto those dreams — while still creating a manageable next step.
How to Decide Your Next Step to Achieve Your Dreams
A lot of us will come up with a big challenging action and
get excited. We say, “I’m going to write a book” or “I’m going to start my own
business.” It’s a big thing, and that’s what excites us.
What happens, though, is that we often tend to lose interest
even though we were so sure this was gonna be it! Why?
One word: fear. We lose interest because it’s too big. We
lose interest because our mind-frick says, “You can’t do this. It’s easier to
just live the way you’ve been living already.” We go back into our old ways,
settling for less than what we really actually want to be doing.
Create Doable Actions
Instead of taking on a big challenge, a far easier and much
more effective way to get exactly what you want in your life is to create
bite-sized, doable actions.
I’m not saying to take smaller actions. I’m saying: think of
the first three things that you’re willing to do that will move you towards
your big vision. That way, instead of a grandiose goal, you’ve now created a
next step.
One of the reasons that we lose interest in big challenges
is because our programmed brain is trying to save us from fear of failure. It’s
easier for the mind to lose interest than to say, “I’m a failure. I can’t do
this.” It’s a safety valve. We don’t want to make ourselves look bad…even to
ourselves!
It’s like taking a pill to alleviate pain. Instead of
saying, “I can’t do this, and I’m a failure,” we say, “It’s not that important
to me. I’m not that interested in that anymore.” This is what we do.
To combat this, don’t create huge actions for yourself. You
can create a huge vision, but how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
Just ask yourself, “What’s my next step?”
Forget the Goal, Focus on the Process
Don’t get into the big-thing idea, because, if you do,
you’re going to end up losing interest as a failsafe in order to not feel bad
about yourself. Instead, keep it simple.
People have asked me, “Harv, when are you going to write
another book?” I don’t know. I write for a couple of hours, or one hour.
Sometimes I say I’m just going to sit down and write, sometimes I just don’t
worry about it.
I bring that up to say that if you want to write a book, for
example, just start that way. It’s a lot easier, and you’re happier that way.
Of course, what’s going to happen is that you’re going to
have a conditioned mind that’s going to say, “That’s not good enough. You
didn’t do enough. You didn’t accomplish enough.” You just tell it thanks for
sharing and keep doing what you’re doing.
Give yourself some momentum. A body at rest will tend to
remain at rest and a body in motion will tend to stay in motion. Get yourself
into a tiny bit of motion.
How It Works for Me
I practice this own process myself when I am writing.
Sometimes I’m doing a bunch of other things. Let’s say I’m watching the hockey
game or a movie, and I don’t really feel like continuing to write.
Know what I do? My mind says, “Just relax. You don’t have to
write tonight.” However, I urge myself to just check one of the concepts that I
wrote on a post-it note and see where that goes in my outline. I tell myself
that it will be pretty quick, and then I can stop.
I pick up the next post-it note and think, “Where does this
one go? Oh, wow! That’s cool! This is actually starting to come together and
make sense!” Then I start writing maybe for five minutes. Sometimes it turns
into much more.
Guess what I’m doing? I’m writing.
I don’t need to prod myself, because I know I just need to
do one thing. I just need to go back to the keyboard, relaxed and easy, pick up
one post-it note, and enter it. That’s all.
One tiny little step creates momentum.

We Are Not Driven, We Are Propelled - How To Achieve Your Goals
By David Samuel
It is very common that we get a goal and have a desire,
feeling driven to achieve. Yet we often just drop it and give up. For some
people, this is such a common occurrence that their self-esteem deteriorates
and they start to feel very discouraged.
This article will explain why we get heated up only to have
a quick cool down and never finish the tasks we begin, or achieve our goals.
Desires do not draw us, we are propelled away from pain. The
desire to move away from the cause of pain is far more powerful than
inspiration can drive us towards something like a nice holiday.
When we have desires and goals, but cannot get motivated,
the reason is that the goal is not real. It is what we think we want but not
what we really want. Your goal is a distraction, an illusion.
What propels you is what matters.
Very few people are naturally driven.
The rest of us are propelled.
If you want to run your fastest, no matter how well you
train for the race, how much you desire to win the gold medal, there is no way
you will achieve your truly top speed in any way better than if a man eating
tiger is chasing you. That will certainly draw out your absolute maximum and
make sure you never give up.
When you move towards something, you are in fact moving away
from something else. Missing this fact is why people start but do not finish
things. They are moving away from something that is painful rather than towards
what they think they want and so the assumed goal is not the real goal.
Many goals and desires are in fact something we think will
end a pain or resolve something we fear. We are pushed by ending a pain rather
than wanting the goal. This means that we do not really want what we think we
want.
Since we are lost in an illusion rather than living in
reality, it is totally understandable that you eventually give up on chasing a
cloud.
Understanding this, and knowing what is actually propelling
you, what your fear and pain really is, will keep you going in the right
direction. You will never reach your destination if your road is not clear and
you keep looking backwards checking for a phantom that you cannot see.
Why You Give Up
The reason we give up on a goal before we complete it, is
that once we have moved far enough away from the cause of pain, it dilutes
enough that it cannot propel us any more, so we stop pursuing the goal. Then we
think that we gave up and failed.
In fact, we have succeeded in the real goal, that of no
longer feeling the pain that we are moving away from.
Find what propels you, what pain you want to end, and focus
on the pain more than the goal. You may find a new goal which will be more
appropriate to ending your pain and you will have a better chance of success
when you know the real reason you want it.
Sometimes, consciously looking at the negative is more powerful
than shutting your eyes and mind and ignoring what your subconscious is deeply
preoccupied with.

Your Key to Success, and How to Reach Your Goals
By Colin Summers
It is so easy to feel weighed down by
concerns, worries, fears for the future, or sad because relationships are strained,
uneasy, or you always seem to say the wrong thing.
To get out of this groove and way of
thinking can take some effort.
Thought is energy and emanates out from us
like radio waves, therefore feeling sad or negative doesn't help the situation.
Turning your thoughts or attitude around, can send out positive vibrations
which has the knock-on effect of improving conditions.
So, whatever can help to make you feel more
relaxed and happy, sends out that thought energy, which you can also project
into the future, influencing future situations or relationships for the better.
Your health and well-being will improve.
Situations, or people, that have upset you
in the past can be wearing you down now, and preventing you from enjoying the
good things in life NOW.
You cannot alter the past, but you can
learn to accept what has occurred, or whatever has been said to hurt you, and
leave the past where it is, in the past! Use the situation to project you
towards a better future.
Visualizations, or using positive imaginations,
can be a really useful too visualizing positive future situations or
relationships are a great help as it is promoting positive vibrations.
Positive visualization, or imagination can
affect you memory, helping you to feel more peaceful and more in control of any
hurt or anxiety, instead of IT controlling YOU!
"Think happy and you'll be happy"
was a phrase used by Evadne Price many years ago and is still true today.
Therefore also, think successful and you'll
be successful. Successful people believe in their abilities, with confidence,
it is their key to success. Therefore thinking this way can be YOUR secret to
success.
How many times have you lain awake at night
with everything going around and around in your mind, which prevents you from
sleeping? Getting a good nights sleep helps you to cope with all you need to
do. So promoting a good nights sleep by learning to let go of worries and
concerns enables your mind to be more peaceful, able to relax and drift off to
sleep, waking refreshed for the next day.
Your body is able to heal whilst you are
asleep, so sleep is essential. If you are lying awake and tense, your body is
not able to renew itself. You need to be able to look after your body and your
mind to be physically and mentally healthy, in order to be at your best. After
good sleep, being active and eating well maintains your well-being.
Feeling rested, calm, healthy and positive
is how to reach your goals. If you feel tired, lacking energy and hope, you
will feel you can't achieve anything.
"You are what you eat" is another
good phrase worthy of consideration.
Being anxious about money, as we all are at
various times of our lives, isn't helpful, because being anxious tends to
prevent us from seeing any opportunities that may be occurring in order for us
to improve our wealth. Think of ways to increase your income, sell unwanted
items, look how to make money on-line.
Wealth can come to you in various ways and
forms. One small step or one small "something" can lead to another.
Glass half empty or half full? Be positive about everything you actually have
even a small amount of money, or something that makes you happy, however small,
is valuable.
Human beings have creative minds, which are
capable of creating in many ways, and we are all different. Find ways to tap
into your own creativity to boost your self-esteem.
With a calm, clear, uncluttered mind, ideas
can pop into your head that you can use. Maybe you may think that you can do
something in a better way, or something can be improved on or be more
efficient, by making an adjustment.
Do not doubt yourself or your abilities, do
not criticise yourself or be envious of others. What is self-esteem? It is when
you feel confidence in yourself, respect yourself and have pride in your own
abilities, using your own unique qualities.
Self Confidence: Learn How To Develop With The Law Of Attraction
By Brian Miller
When you are unhappy, one of the first questions that you need to ask yourself is what your overall opinion of yourself really are you satisfied with the way you live your life or are there certain areas that could use some improvement? For instance, if you do not like the person that is looking back at you whenever you look into the mirror, it is pretty clear that you need to do something about your self confidence. Maybe it is a weight loss issue.
Either way, it all changes if you stop criticizing yourself and everything you do and just take a step back. Look at the big picture and make some difficult decisions. Begin by loving every single inch of the person that you see whenever you look into the mirror. Nobody is perfect and every single one of the people you meet on a daily basis have similar doubts. Some of them allow these doubts to affect their self confidence, some prefer to work through them.
What you need to keep in mind is that you are the only one that has the power to change something. Regardless if we are talking about your view regarding your body image, about extra pounds, about your hair colour or the way you dress, you must learn to embrace it all.The weight loss process takes some time and it should involve smart lifestyle changes. Visualise yourself skinny, wearing those jeans that have never fit you and be ready to put in all the required work. You are just right, even though you are not at your ideal weight. This does not mean that you need to just allow yourself to pack even more extra pounds. Love yourself the way you are, but make changes to become a better version.
The undeniable truth is that weight loss will always help with self confidence, especially if you start getting compliments on a daily basis. The first person that should be making those compliments should be you! Look into the mirror and give yourself a pep talk each day. It does not have to be long or complicated. Look at the big picture and make some difficult decisions. Begin by loving every single inch of the person that you see whenever you look into the mirror. Nobody is perfect and every single one of the people you meet on a daily basis have similar doubts. Just acknowledge every single bit of progress that you see and push yourself a bit further each time. If weight loss is on your mind, opt for the healthiest solution.
Make sure that you remind yourself just how beautiful you are. Think healthy thoughts and do not expect to get rid of pounds in a matter of days. The weight loss process takes some time and it should involve smart lifestyle changes. Visualise yourself skinny, wearing those jeans that have never fit you and be ready to put in all the required work. Find motivation in the positive thoughts that you keep thinking every single time you are faced with making a healthy or an unhealthy eating choice. Your confidence level will definitely improve!
Forget Excuses - Remember Self Motivation
By Darren Russell
The internet is a wonderful thing and since its introduction
to the world it has created an abundance of money making opportunities for
anyone looking to make an income from home.
A lot of individuals who have gone on to make substantial
incomes from online businesses started with zero or limited knowledge of how to
do so.
Today more than ever there are a good number of internet
entrepreneurs and businesses offering genuine online business opportunities.
So with all these opportunities available why do only a
handful of people succeed while the majority either give up or just move from
opportunity to opportunity without ever getting close to success?
The reason most people fail is down to personal development,
the need to identify and set goals, then be able to systemically carry them
through to conclusion.
Add to this the ability to keep yourself motivated when
things don't always go the way you planned and you find a cocktail of characteristics
that the majority of us have to work hard to maintain.
Everyday when you wake, you have a very important choice to
make...
You have to choose what to do with your time and the choice
you make will determine whether by the end of the day you will be closer to
where you want, or at the same point you where when you woke up that morning.
Too many people say they want to change their lives for the
better, some even set goals and maybe have a small idea of what they need to
do, but sadly the choice they make when they wake in the morning is the same
one they have been making every day up to that point...
The point is your life will not change unless you take
action...
None of your goals will be achieved unless you do something
about them...
When I speak to people, I hear all kinds of excuses but the
most common one by far is,..
I don't have the time!
I don't have the time... these five little words are by far
the favourite excuse for many people to hide behind.
However, when I dig a little deeper and start asking some
questions, I find that in the majority of cases a little lifestyle change here
and there and a small sacrifice or two can free up the valuable hours you need
to start making a difference to your lives.
It may come as no surprise that one of the biggest consumers
of our time is television.
Latest stats tell us that the average Brit watches 24 hours
of TV a week and the average American 30 hours a week!
24-30 hours A WEEK!
That's almost a full time job, even if you reduced your time
watching TV by half that would free up 15 hours a week that could be better
spent working on your goals and ambitions.
It's not just TV either plenty of time is wasted away on
other activities, things like spending hours at the mall, going to pubs and
bars, going to ball games/events, playing video games, reading
newspapers/magazines, social media, procrastinating, browsing the internet for
nothing in particular the list goes on.
None of the things on this list are vital to our everyday
lives yet so many people are unwilling to give them up, even though they say
they want to change their lives and their circumstances.
I'm not saying cut everything you enjoy out of your life...
I'm just saying if you really do want to make
changes sometimes you have to make short term sacrifices in order to manage
your time better and maybe even (for now) stop doing some of the things you
would normally do in order to free up the time you need to make long term
gains.
So lets assume you have decided to make some changes and you
have managed to free up some extra hours during the week.
What do you do next?
After all you have just potentially given something up you
really enjoy, something you have been doing for years.
How are you supposed to keep yourself moving forward and not
revert back to the comfortable, TV watching procrastinator you were before we
decided to make these changes?
Well the one thing you must have if you want to succeed is a
daily shot of motivation, this is essential because if you are not motivated
then it is very easy to slide back into the rut you have just pulled yourself
out of.
It is especially important at the start that you get this
daily shot until you build up the belief that what you are doing is working,
until you can see everyday that you are getting closer to your goal and until
the motivation comes without you having to search for it.
When you get to that point you will have a drive and
determination that will be burning so deep inside you that you will not be able
to ignore it, it will get to the stage where any obstacle that is put in your
way will just be taken in your stride and you will feel like nothing can stop
you from achieving what you set out to do.
So how do you get to that point? what do you need to do?
The first thing is have your goals written out in as much
detail as possible and read these goals every morning as you wake and every
evening before you retire, this will remind you of why you are making these
changes to your life and instil some of the motivation you need to keep going.
The second thing is to make a mood board - A mood board is a
visual representation of where you want to be in your life and is usually made
up of images and text representing your ambitions and goals.
As with your goals make sure you look at this everyday and
imagine yourself in as much detail as possible living the life your goals and
mood board show.
The final thing is a daily affirmation, this is something
you need to do by yourself.
Put aside 10 minutes during the day, turn off your mobile
phone, the radio and the TV find yourself a quiet spot in a dimly lit or
darkened room, sit down in a comfortable chair and relax.
Next repeat the following to yourself:
"I awake everyday feeling an insatiable drive and determination to
succeed, I find it easy to motivate myself and I look forward with
excitement to the things I will achieve during the coming day."
Close your eyes and clear your mind of any distracting
thoughts, don't try to think of anything just let yourself relax for a minute
or two, relax your body and let the tension drain away from your muscles.
It is not easy to do this at first so you may find it easier
to concentrate on each individual body part, starting at your toes and working
up until your whole body is relaxed.
With practice you will find this comes easier until you can
almost do it without thinking.
Next start to count slowly in your head until you reach 20.
When you do you should feel totally relaxed, almost trance-like. If any other
distracting thoughts should pop into your head as you count, don't worry, clear
your mind and start over.
When you are in this relaxed state concentrate on the statement
you have just read, don't worry about knowing it all off by heart just repeat
the key words to yourself.
Slowly return to your fully conscious state thinking as you
do that you are feeling more relaxed more alert and more motivated than you
were before.
The subconscious mind is a powerful thing and the whole
point of this exercise is to instill these thoughts into your subconscious mind
until they are accepted as fact and in doing so will become second nature to
you.
You will notice that if you repeat this exercise on a
regular daily basis you will start to see the results in no time at all. You
will probably find that at first it is hard to get to the right level of deep
relaxation but once you do start to master this consistently then the speed with
which you achieve your desired effect will increase.
Subliminal Messages: Fact or Fiction?
Get ready
for a shock, a statement that might blow your mind and send you reeling in
disbelief:
Subliminal
messages work!
Despite
some bad press to the contrary, evidence exists that proves subliminal messages
can be an effective way to achieve a range of goals under certain controlled
conditions. If you want them to work for you, here’s what you need to know:
- Not all subliminal message
delivery systems are created equally. Make sure you get yours from a
reputable supplier who has been in business for a long time and has plenty
of satisfied customers.
- To make subliminal messages
work in your favor, you need to be motivated to change. If you have a
passionate desire to lose weight, to quit smoking, or to improve your
productivity, for example, then subliminal messaging technology will help
you achieve your goal.
- Using subliminal messages to
enable you to make changes in your life is not a cop-out. They’re just
another tool you have at your disposal to break bad habits and encourage
new behaviors.
Here’s
another way to look at it. If subliminal messages don’t work, why is there so
much information written about them? Why do so many companies provide
subliminal audio and video sessions? Surely if those sessions were useless,
people would stop buying them and the companies would go out of business. But
that’s not what’s been happening.
The
Scientific Basis for Subliminal Messages
Your brain
is the most complex machine known to man. It’s so complicated in fact, that even
today we don’t know all that much about it. Some things, however, have been
known for centuries.
We know,
for example, that humans have a conscious and a subconscious mind. In simple
terms, your conscious mind is only active when you’re awake. Your subconscious,
on the other hand, is always active, and that brings up fascinating
possibilities.
In the
course of your day, you might hear or see something for a split second. In your
conscious state you don’t take any notice of it, maybe because you’re rushing
to get back to work after lunch, or struggling to get your car into the
supermarket car park, or focused on what you’re going to prepare for your
evening meal. You’re busy, there’s a lot to do, and there are only so many
hours in the day. Makes sense that you couldn’t possibly focus on every single
thing that happens.
Your
subconscious mind, however, isn’t burdened by those decisions. It doesn’t have
to worry about tonight’s meal, or driving the car, or getting back to the
office, and so it’s free to let whatever else is going on around you drift
right on in. So even if you’ve been exposed to “something” for a split second,
your subconscious mind stores it away and you will be able to recall it at a
later date.
It Just
Pops Into Your Head
Ever sat
watching a TV quiz show when a question came up that you answered
instinctively? Then wondered how you knew it in the first place? It happens all
the time. The information goes in, without your knowledge, and then when you
need it... bam, it’s there. That’s the power exploited by subliminal messaging
technology – the limitless power of the human mind.
The most
important thing to remember about all this is that you have to be motivated to
want to change. If you really want to do something about your figure, or your
health, or your productivity, then subliminal technology will assist you in
getting there.

Applying The Law Of Attraction In Everyday Life
By Brian Miller
Most certainly, you have found yourself in the situation where you simply stopped whatever you were doing to make a sort analysis of your life and reached the unfortunate conclusion that you are not who you have always imagined you would be. Instead of just feeling sad about this whole problem, you could just rely on the law of attraction and do something about it. A short law of attraction explanation is the fact that what you think and imagine is what you attract.
Even though your first impulse might be to think that is just something that successful people say to justify reaching their goals and not tell you their secrets, you should know that you are wrong. Most individuals do not even begin to realize just how this law of attraction works and how easy it can change their lives. If you are ready to apply the healthy principles associated with the law of attraction to your own situation, here’s what you need to do.
Start by making an in-depth analysis of your personal and professional life. Are you happy about what is happening in these departments? This is the time to ask yourself the most difficult questions and actually find an honest answer to every single one of them. As soon as you start being positive, you are going to find all sorts of opportunities that you can take advantage of so that you can lead a different life, a better one. No matter how you look at it, if you are not being true with yourself and what is preventing you from achieving your goals, you will not be able to find an effective solution to any of it.
Do not mistake this amazing law of attraction as an excuse that you can use when you do not want to do anything and just decide to think positive. Obviously, that is not enough. Despite the fact that positive thoughts are a powerful weapon, you will still need to put in the work that can help you get to where you want to be. Instead of just feeling sad about this whole problem, you could just rely on the law of attraction and do something about it. If your destination is a life where you have the ideal weight, great friends or more than enough money, the law of attraction will allow you to get there.
It is all a matter of understanding that it all begins with your thoughts. But every single positive thought must be materialized one way or the other. As soon as you start being positive, you are going to find all sorts of opportunities that you can take advantage of so that you can lead a different life, a better one. Cut out all the negativity in your life and toxic people that do not allow you to evolve as an individual. Most individuals do not even begin to realize just how this law of attraction works and how easy it can change their lives. You will soon notice that your overall state of mind is much better than it has ever been.

If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It
By Rosemary Sumalinog Gonzales
A dream is a vision of a compelling future. It provides
inspiration and motivation for the dreamer. The more critical the dream is, the
easier it is to go through the inevitable setbacks in life. Expect to be
knocked down but never give up. You can make your dream happens.
Making dreams happen only proves what kind of individual we
are. It means we know what we really want in life. Everyone has a dream but it
takes a lot of patience and hard work to realize it.
Putting your dreams into reality is a serious business. This
is not the type of dream when you are asleep but the kind of dream when you are
aware about it. It is the natural human drive to find meaning by expressing
unique talents and sharing those talents with others.Truly successful people
are big dreamers who find their dreams and inspire others. They make a
difference.
Your knowledge is not enough. No matter how intelligent you
are, if you do not couple your dream with action, it's nothing. To accomplish
your visions, you must take action. Take small steps at a time. Don't be afraid
to dream. If you put hard work towards something, anything is possible. It can be
achieved through your determination. Every great success begins with a dream.
A dream is what it takes to make things happen. In order to
transform our dreams into reality; we must wake up and chase our dreams. We
must not dream of acting when the circumstances are ripe or perfect, instead,
we must create those circumstances for ourselves because success will never be
served to us on a platter. We need to work hard. It is a gradual, continual
process. Success cannot be achieved with just one fell swoop. It requires
patience and perseverance.
According to some, the people who actually do something are
not dreamers; rather, they are men of action, who fill their lives with
positive action and result-oriented performance. However, it is necessary to
understand that it all begins with a dream. No matter how unachievable a task
might seem, what the human mind conceives it achieves.
Dreams are the stepping-stones upon which our successes are
laid. More essential than conceiving a dream is to pursue it even in the face
of dire adversity. Mere dreaming has not led anyone anywhere but when you
couple it with action, it will lead you to what your heart aspires.
Thus, you can make your dreams come true if you
wholeheartedly work to achieve them.
Whatever objective we have needs to be clearly charted out
and the means to achieve such a dream should be well-defined.
Change Your Attitude to Change Your Life
By Camille Goscicki
Have you ever known a time in your life when a bad attitude
helped you with what you were dealing with? How about someone else you've known
who walked around with that cloud over their head, expecting life to rain on
them at any moment? Did their bad attitude fight off the storm?
Personally, I can't think of any time in my past when my bad attitude solved
any problem or concern I was facing. If anything, the attitude I carried
brought on more misery, and a lack of clear thought that could have helped me
make things better.
Having a bad attitude affected my self-esteem, my decisions,
and my choices in life. Negativity made me fear life and what was ahead of me
in the future. Somehow, some way, my attitude changed, due to my marriage, the
birth of my daughter; and the death of my only brother, among other life
experiences.
I got to the point in life where I'd say to myself,
"This isn't a dress rehearsal, kiddo. This is life. If you're going to
live it, you might as well live it well." So I chose a new perspective. It
worked for me. I'm not afraid of what lies ahead anymore, and I face life with
an "active pessimist" attitude. I may complain, criticize and get
ticked off about stuff that happens, but then I take action and do something
about it (if I can). Sometimes there's nothing I can do except let the storm
ride out.
I'm sure you've seen those people who constantly complain
about getting older, who feed into the old-age stereotypes, and who use age as
an excuse to let their bodies and minds go to waste. I've seen it myself, in
people decades younger than me. What a terrible way to age!
Vital aging requires an empowered attitude.
I didn't just pull that belief off the top of my head. Aging
experts and researchers have shown that a person's attitude affects their aging
process. Many studies have shown that:
• Older people who believe in positive aging stereotypes live longer than those
who believed in negative stereotypes.
• Older people with a positive attitude take better care of themselves, and may
recover from illness/injury faster.
• Older people who stay engaged in life (e.g., with lifelong learning) have a
higher quality of life than those who don't.
• Often, older people are happier than younger adults. (Face it, we know we
have less time on this earth, so it's important to make the most of it!)
Why "get" older when you can "grow"
older? When you reach the age of 40, or 50, let go of the "over the
hill" thinking. Start climbing again. There are new hills to challenge
you. Change your perspective. Let go of those stereotypes. Quit complaining.
Make physical and mental fitness a priority. Fight ageism. Stay connected.
Laugh out loud. Remain flexible. Keep learning. Take charge of your life.
Success and State of Being
By Andrea Scarsi | June 21, 2017
Reaching success is in most cases the result of deliberate,
persistent, and constant action on a set of causal variables that allow a
positive outcome. In the spiritual world, as in business, people always ask if
there is a strategy or plan to follow, as if having a plan was the predictive
factor of the ability to achieve the desired result. Having a plan gives
clarity and direction and the ability to predict success at a rational level.
Of course, we have to follow it if we want it to give us the knack to transform
ourselves into masters of success production, and this, of course, depends only
on us. Only we can make magic happen.
The first element of predicting success is our commitment to
making the necessary changes, additions and cancellations of what needs to be
transformed within and around us. This allows us to live and ride the standard
set of success indicators to achieve our predictable desired goal. Using the
behavior template below will help predict our desired future success safely. Our
own opponent is only us. We should always strive to set the rudder bar of our
life on a superior course and progress steadily from what we currently are.
I feel competition as a motivation and see the success of
others as an inspiration of what is possible to achieve and overcome.
I get out of my comfort zone regularly and push to try, and
practice, new and bold things.
I manage my feelings, let them out, observe them, and
proceed with my decisions, behavior, and ability to move toward my goal.
I accept and love the challenge when it is launched, or I
hear that something can not be done; this invigorates and excites me.
I am always in action, even when I do nothing, and catch my
brain signals inciting me to get something new.
I control my mind and focus coherently on the positive and
how to capitalize it to build new strategies and achieve my results.
I depend on my trust in myself rather than my friends or
other human beings and realize that the most consistent and reliable source of
strength and support resides in my depths, and that, when I appreciate myself,
I can draw energy at any time.
I remember that I live in an infinite reality and have
endless abilities and opportunities to apply and consolidate the success
indicators that guide my path to what is already planned and due to me.
I'm on my way; I open to others, approach them, engage with
them, and get involved.
I push myself in all the ways; I talk, attend, join, invite,
and encourage.
I kindly let others enter; comfortably, routinely, and
inexorably.
The key to success is to be part of the whole.
Realize Your Dreams In 10 Steps
By Adrie Kroon
1. Make a list of things that are really important to who you are. What is really important to you? Family ?, leisure ?, personal development, retirement?
2. Your goal off. Remember very well what you want to achieve, what is your goal? The more concrete the better. Consider then what you must do to achieve this.
3 See yourself in the future. E. Nightingale concluded after a study of what makes people successful: "We are what we think." The image that dominates our brains most of the time is how we ended up. Therefore, setting goals crucial in achieving success. It helps us keep the most important in life in mind. Nightingale says that the easiest way to achieve our goals is to pretend we have achieved already. In other words, walk, talk and pretend you experience all the success you look so forward. This acts as a self forfilling prophecy: where they believe, comes from.
4. Write 10 things you want to accomplish this year. By making a list of things you care about, you start creating images in your mind. These are your goals. These allow you convert knowledge into targeted action. When your goals are planted in your subconscious they will make you take action. Your behavior is influenced by your subconscious mind and the thoughts and ideas that you have in your subconscious - positive or negative-determine your actions.
5. Create your own storyboard. Take blank paper and paste pictures from magazines, magazines and newspapers on things that you want if you want to reach. We humans once thought in pictures. In this way, always keep your goals in your mind.
6. Write for yourself how your ideal day look. Write it in the present tense, as if it is so. Try to involve senses it. What you hear, what you taste, what you feel?
7. Visualize every day. Every morning and every evening visualize what your goal is and how your ideal life looks like.
8. Make a plan. Make a plan to reach your goal and resize it to daily steps so you know what each day to be your actions. Before going to sleep, make a list of the six things you will do the next day. In order of importance.
9. Evaluate your actions. Evaluate every week and month of your progress. What went well, what can you improve. If you get stuck, ask for help. If something is not working, try something new. Do not be afraid to try new things.
10. Never give up. Everything takes time, focus on your actions and not too much on the result, if you do your everyday actions and learn from it, then the result
